Aman Dutta recently graduated from Kathmandu Model Secondary School and is mentoring the Astrophysics team. In his gap year, Aman has been pursuing his research interests in Physics and Maths and exploring other fields such as literature and music. When he is free, you could most likely find him binge-watching anime or re-reading Harry Potter for the umpteenth time.

Aabiskar Thapa Kshetri

Quantum Physics

Mr. Aabiskar Thapa Kshetri is a 19-year-old computing enthusiast from Pyuthan, Nepal. His passion lies in the Research and Development of Quantum Physics and Computer Science. Likewise, He is also a Chapter Project Head and Outreach Manager at OneQuantum Nepal, which aims to bring together quantum leaders from around the world. Along with being a strong research professional, Mr. Thapa is also a robotics enthusiast where he was chosen to compete in the FIRST Global Challenge 2020, an International Robotics Olympiad, by the Robotics Association of Nepal.

Benju Baral

Biology
(Former Mentor)

Benju is a profound admirer of the wonders of biology. Whether it be the simplest process of binary fission in Prokaryotes or the complex and alluring speed of action potential propagation at 100 m per second in the nerve fiber, the tiniest piece of biology fascinates her. This never ending love for biological science has now led her to pursue MBBS at Chitwan Medical College. Besides academics, Benju also loves to read novels, write, draw, dance and laugh during her free time.

Mandip Subedi

Mandip Subedi is an undergraduate student of Economics and Political Science at New York University Abu Dhabi. He graduated high school from Gandaki Boarding School serving as a School Captain in his concluding year. Mandip currently leads Leadership Forum Pokhara, a model parliamentary based organization. He has also been a co-mentor for Economics at Incubate Nepal 2021. At NYUAD he is part of the First Year Experience and Student Marhaba(Welcome) Committee. His research interests include governance, political economy and investment. Besides academics he is keen on keeping fit, vibing on music, and swimming.

Prinsa Chauhan

Prinsa Chauhan is an undergraduate freshman at NYU Abu Dhabi. She is passionately curious about the intersection of Economics, Feminism and Business, and at her university she is exploring more of the same. Her prior research experience as a research fellow at a promising international research-firm has added a lot to her research understanding, and inclines her interest in it. Outside books, she is tirelessly committed to her all time favourite sitcom “F.R.I.E.N.D.S” and considers herself loyal enough to not start a new show.

Pranjal Chalise

Computer Science

Pranjal, a high-school graduate, is fascinated by the idea of countless interdisciplinary possibilities of Computer Science. His work-platform and experiential projects have unleashed applicable potentials of Computer Science in addressing minute to macro societal adversities and communal issues. He has created ripple effects in the lives of students, farmers, and differently-abled people through various apps. While he is away from his keyboard, you can find him conversing with his friends or even strangers at his favorite Chiya Stall about everything from his obsession for his favorite ilaichi chiya to life.

Laxman Poudel

Laxman Poudel is currently pursing his Bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Economics at Lafayette College. He is an inquisitive fellow with deep passion for robotics, quantum computing and computer science. Besides, he loves playing soccer, ping pong, watching movies and traveling.

Sophiya Poudel

Sophiya Paudel is currently an incoming undergraduate student at New York University Abu Dhabi planning to major in Business, Organizations, and Society. With interests ranging from Islamic Architecture to Classical and Oriental Dance Forms, she is a curious and laid-back person.

Aastha Ghimire

English Literature

Aastha, a high school graduate, is our mentor for English Literature. Her journey as an active student researcher began in SRCN which saw growth in the national workshop like Incubate Nepal, and the global institute like International Socioeconomics Laboratory. Her academic interest intersects in fields like literature, education, and psychology. Other than academics, she spends time watching movies on coming-of-age genres. Though a sweet tooth, her honest opinions on social tyrannies are not sugar coated. Expect to meet her at TU library for the research paper(smiles).

Aadim Nepal

Biology

Aadim recently completed his A levels from Budhanilkantha School and is in a gap year. He is currently working as a bioinformatics intern at Alpha Agro Pvt. Ltd. The start-up helped him discover his interest in computational biology. He has completed several small-scale industrial projects from topics ranging from the soil microbiome to biofertilizer development. He was also a part of Incubate Nepal where he designed experiments for target validation of a novel protein. Other than academics, he also performs some really cool card tricks. Oftentimes, you will find him tirelessly scrutinizing illusions of magicians like Shin Lim, in the hope of decoding them and emulating those tricks into his own.
